Service Description
Join us for a day of play and expressive therapies while we discuss how to engage families in play therapy. We will discuss and practice interventions for working with families in a play therapy setting. Participants will review utilizing play in the assessment and treatment processes as well as working with resistant families. Participants will have the opportunity to practice different interventions as well how to engage in directive and non-directive ways. Different models of working with families in play therapy will be discussed including Filial Therapy, Child Parent Relational Therapy, and other systemic approaches. Objectives: 1.) Explore utilizing play therapy when assessing families. 2.) Identify ways to incorporate play therapy with families when treatment planning. 3.) Explore play therapy with resistant families and with high conflict families 4.) Identify and discuss specific play therapy interventions to utilize when working with families in play therapy. 5.) Discuss the use of directive and non-directive play therapy interventions when working with families in play therapy. 6.) Discuss therapeutic models of play therapy specifically designed for families as well as other systemic models of family therapy. This is an in-person training. Located at 1002 N. Cancellation Policy
With respect to cancellations and refunds, the policy of Brighter Futures Training & Consultation, LLC is as follows: *If you register for an event and cancel your registration 30 or more days prior to the event, you may receive a full refund minus a $25.00 processing fee. You may also elect to obtain a credit for the paid amount, minus the $25.00 processing fee. *If you register for an event and cancel fewer than 30 days before the event, you are ineligible for a refund. However, you may request a credit for your payment minus the $25.00 processing fee. *Any credit provided will expire 12 months from the date of issue. The attendee is responsible for maintaining the unique code provided by Brighter Futures Training & Consultation, LLC, as it will not be reissued or resent. *If you register for an event and do not attend, our policy is that you forfeit the registration fee, and no refund or credit will be provided. *Brighter Futures Training & Consultation reserves the right to cancel any training due to unforeseen circumstances. If this occurs, you will be notified, and a full refund will be initiated within 72 business hours of the cancellation. Brighter Futures Trainings & Consultation's liability for cancellations is limited to the cost of the registration fee. Brighter Futures Trainings & Consultation is not responsible for other expenses incurred by the customer if training is cancelled.
